The successful candidate will support the strategic purchasing of turbocharger components for the Bradford plant and assist in the formulation of supply chain strategies.

You can expect to:

  • Ensure price lists are maintained, up to date in SAP and manage price deviations from the officially approved pricelists.
  • Maintain purchase data in SAP and issue scheduling agreements, sample orders, and tooling orders according to the current agreements.
  • Initiate engineering change requests in line with Strategic Buyers instructions.
  • Execute purchasing related engineering change request activities and follow up with internal stakeholders and suppliers as necessary.
  • Obtain annual tooling inventory confirmation from suppliers and carry out onsite audits if deemed necessary.
  • Collect tooling documentation and photographs of BorgWarner & customer-owned tooling.
  • Ensure all documentation is available before releasing payment.
  • Develop and maintain a system for successful archiving of all tooling documentation & Photographs.
  • Develop and maintain a system to show benchmark tooling cost data.
  • Create purchasing reports in line with requests from Purchasing Manager.
  • Support all crisis management activities.
  • Ensure all exception messages are progressed to closure in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that action plans are created and updated in line with current actions ensured to drive the project to closure.
  • Support global corporate purchasing activities.
  • Project work as appropriate and other duties assigned.
  • Plan, organise, track and disseminate information related to production suppliers.
  • Maintain complex spread-sheets containing supply base data.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all work and personnel matters.
  • Ensure all actions contribute positively to the Company’s overriding objective of quality, by complying at all times with any relevant procedure that pursues this aim.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
  • Computer literate (MS Office).
  • Knowledge of SAP, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
